STEAM LEARNING SPACE
Simpson has two dedicated STEM classrooms as well as a dedicated Maker Space in the Library Learning Commons. In addition, Simpson has a dedicated lab space for use by the BEST and First Lego League robotics teams. Students are actively involved in using their problem solving skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Simpson teachers and students also have access to a range of technology resources for use in their classrooms from laptop carts to sets of iPads and iPad minis to robotics and electronics kits. These resources allow teachers to create meaningful learning experiences with technology, and they allow students to conduct research, master content through the creation of works of art, and share their work both inside and outside the walls of the school.
Teachers maintain and use the STEAM room for collaboartive planning of STEAM lessons as well as the analysis of data.
