STEM students collaboratively build and program LEGO EV3 robots to successfully execute a variety of tasks. They must use their critical thinking skills to determine which design and programs will accomplish the given tasks most successfully. 6th grade STEM students researched and practiced being Civil Engineers by building bridges. The lesson incorporates collaboratively following the Engineering Design Process through research, design, building, testing, modifying, and reflection. In addition, students were required to maintain a materials budge.6th grade STEM students researched the importance and impact of renewable energies in todays world. They culminated the lesson by collaboratively design, building, and testing wind powered cars. |
